Providing exercise-based interventions to improve and optimise health status, independence, and athletic potential.

Located in Camden, Western Sydney, we use exercise to assist in the prevention, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal injuries and health conditions. Whether 1:1 or in a group, we adopt an evidence-based approach in exercise physiology service delivery to empower clients to improve health outcomes and self-manage their health conditions. We believe client-centred exercise delivery is key to achieving positive health outcomes, so we identify personal goals to provide an individualised intervention, including exercise prescription, strategy, and education.

Dr Ben Dowswell (PhD) is a registered allied health care provider and Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES). Having spent over 12 years in the tertiary education sector, including extensive health science research training and delivery, Ben has wide-ranging experience in the provision of exercise and educational services to the community.

With considerable research experience specialising in resistance exercise, neuromuscular physiology, and musculoskeletal physiology, Ben has led the design and implementation of multiple large scale health-based research projects, including exercise intervention studies; and exercise assessment, testing and training/programming protocols. Ben’s research pioneered the use of muscle-nerve stimulation techniques to examine the musculoskeletal and nervous system mechanisms that mediate muscular fatigue and adaptation with resistance exercise in healthy, elderly, and resistance trained population demographics.

As a health and exercise educator and published scientific author, Ben has communicated his research findings to local and international peers, in addition to providing health based lectures to the broader community. He has extensive university teaching experience in the fields of exercise prescription; strength and conditioning; sports and exercise physiology; and nutrition, body composition and weight control.
